Writing Workshop
with Kristin Baker
For almost 25 years, Kristin Baker has been helping others tell their stories better, so they can tell the better story. Whether in a classroom, on a stage, on a screen, or in print, Kristin has helped countless individuals inspire others with their unique stories. As a Speech, Theatre, and English teacher and professor since 1999, she’s helped thousands of students find their voice, including producing three full-length productions of true stories from the lives of students and community members. As “Director of Story” at Granger Community Church for over 15 years, she helped produce hundreds of live and video stories as living messages of hope, love, courage, and inspiration. As co-author of “Carrying Divine: My Rwanda Genocide Survivor Story,” Kristin helped her friend Henriette Ngenga finally get her heroic story published in a book. Kristin truly believes every human on this planet is a walking life lesson for the rest of us. Walt Whitman once said, “The powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse.” Kristin feels part of her life mission is helping others discover their ‘verse.” What will your verse be?
